TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  WATER PIPIT found in mixed pipit flock moving between the 1st hillock and the carpark entrance along saltmarsh track, 14:00 (AJ); 'Scandinavian' littoralis Rock Pipit found there later (MC).

DUNGARVAN:  WATER PIPIT again at Killongford pools, showing very well (JAP).

BALLYSCANLON LAKE:  28 Crossbills (EAMacL).

DUNGARVAN:  Yellow-legged Gull at the Lookout, 3 SPOONBILLS off the Cunnigar (JAP); later 3 SPOONBILLS  roosting near mouth of Brickey River (MC); female/immature Black Redstart at Abbeyside Church graveyard (CF).

CLONEA BAY:  PURPLE SANDPIPER at high tide roost at Ballinclamper (MC).

BALLYBOONEY:  2 Black Guilemots (").

BLACKWATER VALLEY:  Black Swan (feral or escapee) with 24 Whooper Swans just outside Villierstown (JAP).

BUNMAHON: BLACK-THROATED DIVER again today, off rocks at east end of beach, also 11 Common Scoter flew W (MC).

BOATSTRAND:  2nd-calendar-year Glaucous Gull still present (").

BOATSTRAND:  Adult  KUMLIEN'S GULL briefly, then flew inland (MC) - 4th individual for Co Waterford ever. Also 2nd-calendar-year Glaucous Gull at the pier (MC, AJ).

BELLE LAKE:  High count of 12 Goldneye including 4 drakes (MC).

Nr BROWNSTOWN HEAD:  Ringtail Hen Harrier flyby at Coolum (").

KNOCKMEALDOWN MOUNTAINS:  Black Redstart at Mt melleray cemetery, well inland; Woodcock at the Vee (BS, FO'C, EAMacL, RAW, JAP).

Nr LISMORE:  Treecreeper (").

BLACKWATER VALLEY:  8-10 Stock Doves at Newport East, male Yellowhammer near Knockanore (").

WHITING BAY:  3 Red-throated Divers (").

ARDMORE:  2 Stock Doves (").
 
DUNGARVAN:  Male Goldeneye & female Merlin at pitch & putt course (").

VARIOUS: Total 80 species for the day including 5 species of birds of prey, plus Red Squirrel and 2 Hares (").

DUNGARVAN:  WATER PIPIT at Killongford pools (BS, JAP, FO'C, CF), also Common Sandpiper there (CF); ; 4 SPOONBILLS, adult male Long-tailed Duck, 2 Yellow-legged Gulls (3rd-cal-yr & 4th-cal-yr), Cunnigar / Lookout (CF, BS, FO'C, JAP); 7+ Chiffchaffs (2 singing) & a Jay along Brickey River from Twomilebridge to Knockmahon, also 3 Chiffchaffs in Protestant graveyard including 1 very pale bird but not calling (CF)

MOIN NA BRATHAR:  Male Crossbill (BS, JAP, FO'C).

KNOCKADERRY RESERVOIR:  Drake RING-NECKED DUCK  & 21 Tufted Ducks (MC).

ANNESTOWN:  Adult Mediterranean Gull (MC, KA) & Black Redstart (KA).

BOATSTRAND:  2nd-calendar-yr Glaucous Gull & 3rd-cal-yr Mediterranean Gull (MC).

TRAMORE BACKSTRAND:  GLOSSY IBIS showing well at Clohernagh on the dropping tide, Spotted Redshank & Kingfisher at Lisselan. adult Glaucous Gull resting at tip of southern spit  (MC).
